Language develpoment - Verbal communication
You should have been communication with your infant since you bring her home from the hospital. At 10 months you should begin weaning her from the pacifier. At 13 months your baby begins to repeat words that you say also having a pacifier disrupts that natural development of speech. There are different sounds that your toddler must make before he can form words (pre-speech) having a pacifier in his mouth will prevent his speech development. This will cause your child's speech to delay and he will need speech therapy. It is always better to prevent these issues as correction/reverting to a developmental stage is very difficult. Brain development occurs bottom up. Do not hinder your child's development .You should also speak with your infant/toddler in whole language ,no baby talk.
