Cooperation during the infant/toddler years.

At three years old now is the time to begin teaching your toddler consequences . It is time to begin working on having your toddler cooperate . When you ask your toddler not to do a behavior she has to start understanding that you  are serious  about what you said.
Here is an example : Peter is watching his favorite show and he begins to throw the blocks. He is still impulsive and does what comes in his brain. His mother asked him not to throw any more of the train parts. "pleas do not throw the parts if you do I will turn off your show". He throws another piece. His mother turns off his show . He is crying . His mother asked "Peter what did I say "not to throw toys " he respond . That is why I turned off your show because I asked you not to throw your toys.

He is crying  , I want my show. His mother does not respond to him.
He cries for a while then he stops. You will need to continue this behavior until he understands this concept.
