Painting is a very good experience for your toddler . It helps to develop many skills that are needed for school . Here this toddler is painting on a card board with the fridge as the easel. Here are some of the skills ( toddler is 2 yrs old ). Skills eye hand coordination,fine motor finger muscles /wrist choices,learning to focus ,self-regulation,colors ,science . Your toddler is also learning new vocabulary painting,paint brush ,container,colors . This one experience is giving your toddler a lot of skills.
You are also helping to develop the cerebellum ,the section of the brain that is responsible for movements and coordination of muscles.
What happens between 0-3 is critical.
