Toddlers always want to help you and you should allow them . Helping allows them to build self-esteem and self-confidence it it a part of social-emotional development . Here this child is also building fine muscles in his fingers and his wrist . This is a pre-writing activity and it is helping to build the section of the brain that is responsible for movements and coordination of muscles. These activities are a part of the school readiness process. He is 3 years and 3 months. He is also learning vocabulary in the laundry room : detergent, machine,fabric softener ,coin, push, counting to six,dryer, fold ,matching (socks) start,finish and a lot of other things. All these skills are needed for school . Learning takes place every minute.
