Being independent

Building  self-esteem
Yesterday I was feeding my grandson and he held on to the spoon and helped me to but it to his mouth. Your infant usually let you know when he is ready to move to the next stage of development. He has been playing with a spoon for a while and he is now ready to make that next move ,putting it to his mouth. Your child will proceed to yhe next stage but you must read his cues and give him the opportunity to practice his new skill. This means that you should have enough time when you are feeding him this way he can get a chance to  help you feeding himself.
Your infant/toddler needs to feel competent and begin building self-esteem.
