The root of independence
This morning my grandson was getting dressed and when his mom was changing his clothes he took his hand out of his sweater all by himself. His mom said "good job" he had a big grin on his face and began to celebrate by clapping,his mom clapped also and remarked "you did it". This 13month old clearly had a feeling of accomplishment. He is building his self-esteem and his confidence. All these life skills begin during these critical years.
