Your baby begins to use this skill very early by crying to let you know that she has a need she may be hungry or wet .She will also begin to imitate sounds such a coughing .
18 mos-36 mos
Your toddler should be using at more than one 100 expressive vocabulary. You should give your toddler the opportunity to expand their vocabulary for example - allow the child to have choices : John would you like eggs and pan cakes for breakfast of fruit loops and milk ? Also use words to describe actions ( you are running fast ) talk about long and short . Always help your child to expand his expressive language skills.
As a care giver you must guide your child so she can develop these skills.
When children have developed their language skills it helps with their social and emotional development.
